Uniendo Enlaces Terrestres ProSe con Satélites Directo al Dispositivo NTN

Technical analysis and engineering reference.

1. The Energy Bottleneck of Direct Satellite Transmission

Communicating directly from a smartphone to an orbital satellite 600 kilometers overhead in Low Earth Orbit requires pushing RF amplifiers to maximum legal transmit power (+23 dBm), rapidly exhausting handset batteries and causing severe thermal throttling. When a user is inside a building or under dense tree foliage, direct satellite link closure is impossible.

2. Two-Hop Cooperative Relay Architecture

NRSidelink establishes high-efficiency cooperative relays: - Victims trapped inside a collapsed concrete structure broadcast low-power PC5 Sidelink beacons. - An emergency response truck or aerial search drone parked outside picks up the Sidelink packet. - The relay vehicle repackages the emergency telemetry and transmits it to overhead LEO satellites via high-gain phased array tracking antennas.

3. Standardized End-to-End Security

The relay vehicle acts as a layer-2 transparent bridge: end-to-end user plane encryption terminates directly at the national emergency command center, preventing unverified intermediate relay devices from inspecting sensitive voice or biometric medical telemetry.
